#BAND IN A BOX 2018 REVIEW SERIAL#
So I congrat PGmusic for their decicion (I know its a money issue also to put a copyprotection on -) not to bother us with USB dongles, register licencing like Adobe, which never works and you have to have a stolen serial to make the legal bought copy work again, or other unnessecary stuff like that.I tell my students to buy it and they do, cause they hear how good it is. If you want the Realtracks you need to buy it anyway. They just don`t need it, they convince us with quality.

#BAND IN A BOX 2018 REVIEW SOFTWARE#
What an incredible composing tool BiB is.In this matter I think the stolen Software is like a Demo which helps pirates getting in touch with a programm they usually start buying months or years later.I think that`s why PGmusic doesn`t have a copyprotection. It's pretty amazing the speed it allows us to experiment when composing songs or practicing. I tried it many years ago but I didn't like the midi sounds, but now with real tracks it sounds fantastic. Good examples of all the 300 available real tracks here for those who are interested. So I'm learning this feature packed software and I've come to realize the importance of freezing and saving tracks as soon as something sounds good. If some chords are changed or the song is re-rendered then it's impossible to have the tracks play it identical to how it was before. Is there a way to choose the specific fills that the real drums are playing? Some good tips and advice I learned in these SOS articles not mentioned in the manual. I've now started moving BiB parts to Reaper, to save my favorite drum parts, but I hope there is an easier way. They are all found in the real drums folder. It would be easy for them to implement that feature for the real drums so we could pick any drum fill we want, This video shows A,B sections and drum parts, but can we change the actual fills? Some fills are great but I wish I could have direct access to them. Since they don't contain any notes like the other instruments which makes things much more complex. So I think the best way to extract all the drum fills, in tempos of choice, is to create a very long song in Biab with lots of A,B drum parts. That way I think they will use all fills.

And I can then easily render and export them to Reaper, in my tempo of choice.Įven though I could extract all the fills from the long sound file in the real drum map, they would then be at only one default tempo setting. I noticed that Biab use the same time stretching elastique as Reaper does, but Biab can do massive time tempo stretching without any noticeable artifacts. It was mentioned in a recent reaper forum thread that some programs do time stretch different even when using elastique, maybe that's why. Here is a thread with some tips on Biab drum fills. Let me know if there is any other way of doing it. Making RealDrums Styles with Band-in-a-Box® You can get Biab to play the fills you want by editing the txt file in the drums folder. You can copy an existing drum style folder and txt eg. Rename the folder and txt file FunkRock^06-ClsdHtNoSn,OpHtSnFill Then edit that txt file to suite the fills you need. You also can drag the drums wav file into Reaper, copy hits from the end of the track and add them to a fill or create your own fills, then save the wav file with a new name then change the name of the wav file in the drum txt file.Īll patterns are defined in the text file using lines of text containing seven elements, with each of the seven elements separated by a comma. The seven elements are: 1) the text "pattern", 2) type of pattern, 3) section definition (A, B or all), 4) weight (how often the pattern will be played), 5) Mask (restrictions on where the pattern can be played), 6) duration of the pattern in bars, 7) the location of the pattern in the style wave file. Weight (how often the pattern will be played). When 9 is entered as a weight, the program treats it slightly differently. A 9 weight means that any possible patterns that have a weight of 8 or less are completely eliminated as possibilities.
